Who is Electric Friendship?
Electric Friendship, or Nicholas DelSesto, if you're nasty. Nick grew up in the company of green hills and coastal birds in the Ocean State and currently resides in the expansive suntanned carpet of the Sonoran Desert. He began playing electric bass in his youth, which led to electric guitar, and eventually a fascination and love of synthesizers, samplers, and electronic music technology.A student of Motown soul, funk, new wave, psychedelic rock, and golden age hip-hop, he draws inspiration from a diverse catalog of grooves, the confluence of which shape the basis of his designs. By the gloopy glow of a lava lamp, he enjoys making music that sounds like abstract electric landscapes connected by the quixotic corridors of his mind. He also enjoys making various sandwiches, watching cartoons, and doing puzzles. With the completion of the inaugural record, Happy Landscaper, Nick has set a new path for musical expression and experimentation. By combining his affection for playing live instruments and working with sample-based arrangements, he has discovered a harmonious amalgamation - an electric friendship.

The next Electric Friendship record is beginning to take shape!I've been keeping busy creating new samples and experimenting more with the modular synthesizer this time around.I recently returned from a trip to Rhode Island where I was able to capture some video that I hope to use as a visual companion for this project. A hint for the the theme of the next record is in RI's nickname - more to come soon!
